Abstract The performance of polyimide nanofiltration membrane for separating the spiramycin-butyl acetate extract was investigated.The influence of operation pressure,temperature,flowrate of feedstock,concentration of spiramycin on the permeation flux and the rejection of spiramycin was investigated.The separation performance of the membrane under long time operation conditions was also discussed.Under appropriate conditions, the permeation flux reached 20 L/(m~(2)��h) and the rejection of spiramycin was over 99%.The results indicated that the permeation flux increased along with the rising of operation pressure,temperature and flowrate of feedstock.The ascent of spiramycin concentration of feedstock decreased the permeation flux.These factors had a little effect on the rejection of spiramycin.The separation performance of the menbrane was steady during the operating period of 35 days,which indicated that this kind of nanofiltration membrane had good property of resisting pollution for this extract.
