Abstract The rubber accelerator M contains a great deal of water after the acidifying process and the water content of the cake is still about 22% through solid-liquid separation.Thus the energy consumption in the next drying process is serious.Five kinds of surfactants,which belonged to the nonionic,cationic and anionic surfactants,were added to analyse the dewatering effect in this paper and the suitable surfactant was selected according to the dewatering effects.The results indicate that the cake can meet the quality requirements and its water content can be reduced greatly through adding the suitable surfactants.
