Abstract 

Catalytic performance and kinetic features are studied by using the Mg-Ti type catalyst supported on SiO2-MgCl2 compose-carrier. The influences of the polymerization conditions upon ethylene polymerization process, such as total pressure, polymerization temperature and cocatalyst usage and the role of chain transfer reaction mechanism are investigated. The result shows that the molecular weight of UHMWPE is drastically affected by the temperature. The catalyst activity increases significantly with increasing pressure and temperature. There is an optimal Al/Ti molar ratio of catalyst with high activity.
