Abstract This article mainly introduced the preparation of carbon monoxide adsorbent, evaluated the adsorption performance of trace carbon monoxide in fixed bed at 30 ℃ and carbon monoxide partial pressure 6 kPa. The adsorption capacity was 2.138 5 mmol/g, which was calculated by integrating the breakthrough curve. The specific surface area of carbon monoxide adsorbent was determinated by BET adsorption instrument. The ion exchange degree was 52% and the copper content was 9.52% (mass fraction) measured by the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrum (ICP). And through X-Ray diffractometer(XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscope(SEM), it was found that the carbon monoxide adsorbent prepared by ion-exchange between the solutions where copper effectively replaced sodium of the original sodium-Y molecular sieve, could still maintain the original skeleton structure after calcined. Using NH3-TPD investigated the modification to the acidity of adsorbent and using H2-TPR inspected the appropriate reduction temperature of the adsorbent. The adsorption can be regenerated mostly at 130 ℃ with purging nitrogen, and it still maintained a stable adsorption capacity after regeneration and reduction.
