Abstract Functionalized by cycloaddition reactions, the multi-sulfhygryl graphene-based nanomaterials were prepared. The nature of the sulfhygryl group made it easy to react with single metallic sliver nanoparticles. The distribution of the metal nanoparticles was available in TEM observation. XPS analysis showed the element content of the final product, the nucleation model and the valence state of single metallic silver. Through the catalytic reduction reaction of p-nitrophenol, the catalytic property of final product was verified.
