Abstract Phocphogypsum calcium slag and insoluble potassium-containing silicate rock as main materials were mixed with certain mixture ratio, through the processes of briquetting, calcining under high temperature and smashing, silicate-calcium-potassium fertilizer was produced. By simplex method, the influence on making silicate-calcium-potassium fertilizer was investigated through ten experiments and the optimal process condition was obtained: the raw material ratio was 1.41∶1.00, calcine time was 33 min, calcining temperature was 1 160 ℃. The reaction process was analyzed with thermal analysis. Infrared spectrometer and electron microscope were performed to analyze the structure and morphology. The results showed the quality of the product was Grade one in the enterprise standard.
