Solid-Liquid Phase Transfer Catalytic Synthesis of Diethylene Glycol Monododecyl Ether

Abstract The effect of catalysts, their quantities and reaction temperatuse on the yield of solid-liquid phase transfer catalyzed synthesis of dietylene glycol monododecyloxy ether have been studied. Some catalysts giving high yields of pure monoether (e. g, TBAB, PEG-400 and PEG-600) have been devoloped. Their suitable quanties applied and temperature of reaction were also determined.
