Abstract Hexamethylenetetramine crystallization kinetics is determined in a vacuum evaporation crystallizer with related Parameters. It is interesting to note that the crystallization of hexamethylenetetramine has special characteristics under Vacuum evaporation. The kinetics evaluated in this study is correlated by the equation:

It is shown that, for the system of hexamethylenetetramine with the index of crystal growth rate approximating to 1, the increase of the average crystal size of the product can not be obtained by simply increasing the crystal retention time. In order to obtain satisfactory size and size distributions of the product, it is very important to choose agitation speed because secondary nucleation is very much dependent on it. |
