Abstract Under similar analytical conditions (gas chromatograph, detector, liquid phase and carrier gas),a 0 53mm i.d.caplillary column coated with Apiezon L will run a sample three times faster than a 2m long and 5% Apiezon L packed column. The 0.53mm capillary gas chromatography avoids the thermal degradation of some pesticides such as phoxim, methyl phoxim, naled and trichlorfon.Conceptually the 10m0.53mm 0.70m film capillary column is designed to be alternatives to regular 1/8 inch stainless steel or 2mm i.d. glass column,2m long with liquid phase loadings of 3%5%.
