Abstract Polyacrylate emulsion is a kind of preparing easily and applying widely copolymerical emulsion with excellent performances, which can accord with the demands of environmental protection. In this paper the auhors discuss the formulation design of synthesizing acrylate copolymerical emulsion systemically, such as various property of monomers, emulsifiers,initiators, chain transfer reagents, pH adjuSt additives and other additives, their actions and their effects on the performances of acrylate copolymerical emulsion during synthesis. Synthetic technologies such as core-shell emulsion polymerization, free-soap emulsion polymerization,organic-inorganic incombination emulsion po1ymerization, group transfer polymerization,interpenetrating netWork polymerization, micro-emulsion polymerization and super micro-emulsion polymerization and some other new polymerization technologies and applications in building coatings and adhesives of acrylate copolymeric emulsion are summarized in this paper. ����
