Abstract A method for determining precision solution of a mass transfer differential equation for an unsteady-state diffusion and reaction process in a semiinfinite medium is presented. The semiinfinite medium may be solid or fluid. A component A is absorbed on the surface of the solid or in fluid phase,diffuses unsteadily, and reacts in the phase. The reaction component A is considered as one order. The precision solution of the unsteady-state diffusion model in the finite medium is given.
