Abstract To improve the extracting ratio of resveratrol from giant knotweed,a new process was developed in this paper by using cellulose and microwave. The optimum conditions of enzyme extraction and microwave extraction were obtained through orthogonal test. For the enzyme extraction, with the ratio of enzyme/giant knotweed 1500 at 50 for 90 min,the yield of resveratrol is two times more than that extracted by ethanol. For the microwave extraction with the ethanol content of 80%,the liquid ratio of 120,extracting by microwave for 60 s at 510 W,the yield of resveratrol is three times more than that extracted by ethanol. For the enzyme-microwave extraction, the yield of resveratrol is three times more than that extracted by ethanol with enzymation 30 min by microwave for 10 s at 510 W.So the enzyme-microwave extraction can shorten the extraction time and lower the cost of production,it is an effective way to extract resveratrol from giant knotweed.
