Abstract The discharge performance of TiB_2 electrode in 20% KF solution was studied in this paper.The experimental results showed that the total discharge capacity of TiB_2 electrode could reach(2 000) mA·h/g at a constant current rate of 100 mA/g.There are four discharge stages on the discharge curves of TiB_2 electrode,and their related electrochemical processes were analyzed by the cycle voltammograms,ICP and XRD, and the possible reacting mechanism of TiB_2 was discussed in detail.
