Abstract Separation of aromatic/aliphatic is important in petrochemical industry, and pervaporation is a potential alternative of the conventional energy-intensive technologies.Removing aromatics from naphtha by pervaporation can be used to produce 'non-benzene' gasoline and low-aromatic feedstock in ethylene production plant. The recent progress in pervaporation membrane for multi-component aromatic/aliphatic separation was reviewed.
