Abstract The graft-modification of gelation with vinylpyrrolidone using different initiating systems has been studied.The results indicated that the graft copolymerization was greatly effected by the properties of initiator, the reaction temperature and the concentration of monomer.So the desired graft copolymer can be produced by choise of the appropriate reaction conditions under the suitable initiator.
