| Abstract In this paper, the preparation of 2、4-dimethoxyacetoacetaniline from mdichlorobenzene by nitration, methoxylation, reduction and acidation was studied. 2、4-Dichloronitrobenzene was prepared by the nitration of m-dichlorobenzene with mixed acih with 84% yield and 98% purity.Methoxylation was catalyzed by quaternary ammonium salts or polythyene glycol as phase transfer catalysts, which could shorten the reaction time and increase the yield. 2、4-Dimethoxyaniline was synthesized from nitro-compound by reducing with iron powder in solvent, the yield of the product was 84%.2、4-Dimethoxyacetoacetanilide was obtained by using 2、4-dimethoxyaniline reacted with diketone, yield was 89%. |
