Abstract n this paper,we propose a new approach in separating acetone(CH3COCH3) and ethyl acetate(C2H5COOCH3). In order to reduce energy consumption,salts and dispersive agent are added into water to form composite extractants,which obviously change the effects of extraction separation.It is shown that the selectivity coefficient can be increased from 3.84 to 5.0×103.Effect of the operation parameter on separation and the feasibility in industrial production are explored.The distillation—extraction flow sheet of separation is presented.This method can save 30% of energy in comparison with the traditional method.
