Abstract��
TPR,XPS and XRD techniques were used to study the reduction behavior of NiO,MoO 3 and MoO 3 NiO on �� Al 2O 3 support systematically.Properties of Mo Ni/Al 2O 3 were compared with those of catalyst Mo Co/Al 2O 3and W Ni/Al 2O 3.Results showed that NiO and MoO 3existed in a high degree dispersing state on Mo Ni/Al 2O 3 catalyst.When NiO is introduced into the Mo/Al 2O 3 system,MoO 3 interacts moderately with the support forming two species that can be reduced easily.Ni promotion is found to cause reduction temperature of Mo site shifting to lower temperature.The test of HDS activity indicates that there is an appreciable relationship between the TPR properties of the catalysts and the HDS activity.The function of Ni can be explained by hydrogen spillover from Ni centers to Mo sites.
