Abstract This study deals with a method of separating butymediol from aqueous solution by rystallization in a continuous MSMPR crystallizer. It is shown that butynediol and water can orm stable supersaturated solution, and the crystallization yields are often low on account of he high solubility of the crystals. The study demonstrates that the temperature of rystallization and the concentration of feed hare considerable effects on butynediol rystallization. If appropriate satuation has nct been selected, the crystallization operation ay go wrong. Because of low crystal growth rate, a considerable residence time is necessary to btain better crystal yield. |
