Abstract The process of batch fractional crystallization was studied. It was found that the process of parametric pumping fractional crystallization is composed of three parts: crystallization, sweating and melting. The main affecting parameters are bubbling velocity, temperature reducing and rising program and sweating time, etc. Experiments of crystallization and sweating of the mixture of naphthalene and thionaphthene were carried out in a crystallization tube. The effects of various parameters on this process were detected.
