Abstract Kinetic m odelw as presented for Br- oxidation on the anode electrode in alka line solution taking account ofthe side reactions and by theoretically analyzing theeffection of brom ine com plexing��hydrolysis equilibrium ofbrom ide and dissociationofhypobrom ous acid on the anode reactions. The reaction characteristic of Br- at arotating disk electrode w as abtained by stationary polarization and transient cyclicvoltam m etry. The m ain process at electrode reactions is Br- oxidation into Br2 byanalysis of the cyclic voltage current. The kinetic param eters w ere obtained by ap plying the m ethod ofnonlineer regressin. The expected results by the m odelare incorrespondence w ith the experim entaldata.
