Abstract A high water absorbent polyacrylamide was obtained by inverse suspension polymerization using Span60 as dispersion agent.The conditions of alkaline hydrolysis have great effects on water absorbency.The average diameter of the bead products in 290 ��m,the deionized water absorbability and mineral absorbability were 220 and 180,respectively.
