Abstract In this article,the development and the application of the reactive distillation are summed up.The reactive distillation column and the catalysts are introduced.The mass transfer and hydraulics in catalytic bed,the mathematic models and the design equation of the reactive distillation column are summarized.The application and the possible field of the reactive distillation are also mentioned.
