Abstract The extraction technology using the porous media to be impregnated by solvent is an effective separation method.In this paper,based on the characteristic of the fixed bed solvent extraction,the diffusion mass transfer model was adopted.By supposing of inner diffusion controlling step,a mathematical model of fixed bed for extracting erythromycin from its fermentation liquid with porous media impregnated by solvent was carried out.
