Abstract Total rate constants k of acidity hydrolysis of glycerol triacetate were determined by acid alkali titration. When various kinds of surfactant were added,it was found that the change of k was very small as the concentration of surfactant change. That means there are no effects for surfactant on the triglyceride hydrolysis and different from monoeater hydrolysis which can be changed obviously by static action and solubilization of surfactant. The conclusion is very important for the design of triglyceride oscillating reaction.
