Abstract In the magnetic field which has different intensity of magnetization, the influence of permanent magnetic field on the molecular mass-transfer process in gas phase was investigated. The results indicate that magnetic field have positive effect on the molecular mass-transfer process of water,methanol,ethanol,formic acid and acetic acid in the air,viz diffusivity increase in the magnetic field. The quantitative account shows that the diffusivity increases 4%—7%, magnetic field have no effect on the molecular mass-transfer process of benzene,toluene,acetone and methyl ethyl ketone in the air. Through analyzing on experimental result, the mechanism of permanent magnetic field on the molecular mass-transfer process in gas phase was discussed.
