Abstract The new conducting polymers of Poly N-[5-(8-quinolinol)ylmethyl]aniline was synthesized by chemical oxidation. The structure and property of base and doping Poly N-[5-(8-quinolinol)ylmethyl]aniline were characterized and analyzed by IR, UV-Vis spectra and fluorescence photometer. The result shows that the conducting polymers, whether doping or not, all have better fluorescence property and conductivity at the same time.
