Abstract 4,4��-diaminostilbene-2,2��-disulfonic(DSD) acid is an important intermediate in the production of fluorescent,direct dyes,and fungicides.Due to its significantly increasing output and causing severe environmental pollution,it has become more and more crucial to treat the DSD acid manufacturing wastewater.Several treating methods used in industry have been analyzed and their treating mechanism,improvements,advantages and disadvantages are proposed.Furthermore,some newly developed technologies and ideas have been employed.Also,the prospect of those methods have been predicted.
