Abstract Models of monolithic catalytic converter for controlling automobile emission are reviewed in detail.Main physical and chemical processes including heat and mass transfer,flow distribution,chemical kinetics,oxygen storage and catalyst deactivation are discussed.Some models are presented and discussed.And the applications of the models are analyzed in the end.
