Abstract The aggregation and agglomeration of particles are important secondary kinetic processes in crystallization and precipitation,which evidently affect the shape,the size distribution and the purity of the final products.In this paper,the mechanisms and the influencing factors of aggregation and agglomeration in crystallization and precipitation were reviewed separately.The progress in their mathematic models was also discussed.In addition,the future development in the research of aggregation and agglomeration was prospected.
