Abstract Pseudo-ternary phase diagrams in four-component systems of n-C_7H_(16)/n-C_4H_(10)/Span80+Tween80/H_2O are presented at 30 with k_m=0.5,1.0,2.0(con-surfactant/surfactant,mass ratio) by electrical conductivity respectively. On the basis of these phase diagrams, the superheat limit temperatures of these systems with k_m=0.5,1.0 and w_e=0.10.9 have been measured by using the column method at two points where the micro-emulsion is just formed and water content is largest. The test results show that the superheat limit temperature hardly varies with the increase of water content. In addition,at w_e=0.4 and(k_m=0.5),the superheat limit temperature of the micro-emulsion was explored respectively with the con-surfactant from n-C_4H_9OH to n-C_8H_(17)OH.The test result shows that the superheat limit temperature rises with the increase of the carbon number of con-surfactant(alcohol).
