Abstract The vanadium catalysts supported by three different composition phosphate carriers belonging to NZP family were prepared by wet-blend method, and their active composition is the same as that of home-made S101 vanadium catalyst. The phase, specific surface area and pore structure of these catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and BET methods, and their activities were also evaluated in a small fitted-bed reactor. The results show that the chemical composition of the carriers has important influence on the activity of vanadium catalysts.KZr_2(PO_4)_3 is fit for being the candidate carrier of vanadium catalysts.
