Abstract The magnetic characteristics of magnetotactic bacteria(MTB) were introduced.Biosorption of plumbum(Ⅱ) was carried out with the activated sludge cultivated by the micro aerobe culture conditions for 1 month.At the same time,MTB was observed by Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM).The growing curve of MTB was measured also.The result indicated that MTB would be effective to(adsorb) Pb~(2+) when the activated sludge was cultivated on the micro aerobe condition.The total removal of Pb~(2+) was nearly 100%.The adsorption data were followed by Langmuir model.
