Abstract The fine-particle electroactive material LiFePO_4/C was synthesized by microwave heating, and the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,SEM and TEM.The reaction conditions was favored for offering some control of the product morphology and particle size. The results of charge-discharge test and cyclic voltammetry of LiFePO_4/C showed a lithium insertion plateau was around 3.5 V vs Li, with a specific capacity of 151 mA·h/g.Excellent electrochemical reversibility and cycling stability were achieved.
