Abstract The porous Ni/CB hydrogen evolution membrane electrodes were prepared by film methods.Morphologies and catalytic properties of Ni/CB hydrogen evolution eletrodes were measured and characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and cathodic polarization curves.The factors of preparation of Ni/CB hydrogen evolution electrodes were studied.The results showed that PTFE content,acetylene black and current collector mesh had the mainly effect on the performance of porous Ni/CB membrane electrodes for hydrogen evolution.
