Synthesis of n-Butyl Acetate by 11-Tungstotitanic Heteropoly Acids Catalyst

Abstract Four kinds of 11-tungstotitanic heteropoly acid complexes with Keggin structure such as(K_6[MTiW_(11)(H_2O)O_(39)])(M=Cu,Zn,Cd,Ni) were synthesized.n-Butyl acetate was prepared by tungstotitanic heteropoly complexes.The results indicate that the best reaction conditions are: molar ratio of acetic acid to n-butanol is 1∶1,the dosage of catalyst is 1% of the materials gross,the reaction temperature is(120 ℃,) and the reaction time is 5 h.The ester yield of n-butyl acetate is more than 80%.
