Abstract Based on conventional design method of pressure vessel only with strength theory��the design��manufacturing��inspection test and working environment factors of pressure vessel are considered comprehensively as the influence factors in design calculation. According to fuzzy mathematics theory��the optimization method of fuzzy mathematics is applied��the influence factors and levels of pressure vessels are comprehensive fuzzily evaluated��and the optimal level set of the constraint conditions of objective function is obtained��then the mathematical model of fuzzy optimization for design of pressure vessel is established��and the optimal design scheme pressure vessel of is found.
