Abstract The frictional pressure drop of gas-liquid two-phase up-flow in vertical tube has been investigeted.The technigue of measurement of differential pressure and holdup have been improved.The flow patterns were determined by visual observation. Experiments were carried out with air and water in a vertical glass tube of 19mm inside diameter and 1500mm height. The values of frictional pressure drop were calculated from experiment data of differential pressure and holdup.
