Abstract ?-Amino-naphthalene-6,8-disulfonic acid has been synthesized by amination of 2-naphthol-6,8-disulfonic acid dipotassium salt at relatively low temperature(140��)and low pressure(1-4MPa)with a yield about 100%. The factors which can affect the reaction have been investigated. It is found that while the reaction temperature, the amount of ammonia or NaHSO_3, the ratio of ammonia to 2-naphthol-6,8-disulfonic acid dipotassium salt and the concentration of ammonia increase, the reaction rate becomes faster.����
