Abstract he synthesis of trimethylolpropane from nbutanal and formaldehyde with NaOH catalyst via one step method was studied in this thesis.The aldol condensation product during low temperature period of one step method synthesis was separated and analyzed with 1HNMR and GCMS.It's proved that the separated product is 2,2-dihydroxymethylbutanal,which is unstable and can be converted to its dimer and trimer.The influences of the type of catalysts,the second period reaction temperature and time,the formaldehyde concentration and the treatment method after reaction on the yield of TMP were discussed.The purity of TMP was analyzed by GC.A potential synthesis method of TMP was set up. |
