Abstract Relating the momentum flux of particle with the particle impact pressure on objects, a theoretical model of the particle impact pressure in fluidized bed is deve loped.The particle impact pressure is mainly related to the operation velocity and the particle density.The calculated results of the model is coincident with experimental data satisfactorily.
