Abstract��
The presentpaper is concerning the tw o step process forsynthesis of N, N�� bis(2,2,6,6 tetram ethylpiperidinyl) 1,6 hexandiam ine,being a lightstabilizer 944 in term ediary obtained from triacetonam ine and hexanam ine. The key step form m ing Schiffbase interm ediary w as investigated. Under optim un conditions including tem perature,catalyst and feed ratio,the yield oflight stabilizer 944 interm ediary is upto 76% .
