Abstract�� Graft copolymerization of methylacrylate onto starch has been carried out in methanol solution using ammonium persulfate as initiator.The viscasity average molecular weight of the grafted branches,the graft efficiency and freqency and the microstructure and the mechanical properties of the copolymer have been measured.
