Abstract�� The development of biodegradable plastics is a most effective method to prevent ��white pollution��.3-Hydroxybutyric acid is one of improtant raw materials to synthesize biodegradable plastics(PHB). Various of affecting factors have been analyzed for esterifying �� -hydroxybutyric acid. The best technological route which produces ethyl �� -hydroxybutyrate with esterifying �� -hydroxybutyric acid is put forward.
