Abstract�� Phenylacetaldehyde,a perfume,was prepared by reaction of phenylethlene glycol catalyzed by zeolite ZSM-5 which is treated by hydrochloride acid.The conditions of the reaction were optimized by orthogonal test and the mechanism was analyzed.The percentages of the conversion and the yield were determined and the factors influenced on the reaction were discussed.
