Abstract��
2,4��-Dihydroxydiphenylsulfone(2,4��-BPS) was prepared from phenol and H_2SO_4.Mesitylene and phosphorous acid were the better solvent and catalyst,respectively.The other optimum technologies for synthesis and purification of 2,4��-BPS were also obtained.The total yield of 2,4��-BPS was 18.8%(based on H_2SO_4 used) with a purity beyond 95%.
