Preparation of Tanshinones from Salvia Miltiorrhiza Bunge by HSCCC

Abstract��
Separation and preparation of tanshinones from Danshen(Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge) crude ethanol extract were studied by high-speed counter-current chromatography(HSCCC).The solvent system of petroleum ether-ethyl acetate-methanol-water(8��6��7��3) was selected and the optimum running parameters for apparatus was obtained through orthogonal experiment.Five tanshinone were separated and identified rapidly.Measured by HPLC,the purity of tanshinone ��A,cryptotanshinone,tanshinone ��,dihydrotanshinone �� were all over 98%.HSCCC is simple,economical,quick and with good repeatability for preparation of Danshen active components.
