Abstract:
Purification of 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl trimethylammonium chloride (CHPTMAC) by extraction with different extractants and regeneration of extractants were studied. The effect of extractant was analyzed. The results showed that the extractant HYT could significantly reduce the content of 1, 3-dichloro-2-propanol (DCP) and epichlorohydrin (ECH) in product. The content of DCP and ECH was decreased to 14.8 mg/kg and 25.0 mg/kg, respectively after extraction. The effects of temperature, types and concentration of alkali and reaction time on the regeneration of extractant HYT were studied. The optimal regeneration condition was established that the extractant was saponified in 6.5% NaOH aqueous solution under 120 ℃ for 3 h.
