Abstract�� This paper has studied the reactions of hydrogen sulphide with titanium tetrachloride in some organic mediums,and advanced a new method of synthesizing titanium disulphide.Titanium disulphide was synthesized by the double decomposition between dry hydrogen sulphide and titanium tetrachloride in boiling a-naphthalene chloride.The method is simple and convenient.The product is characterized by X-ray phase determination and chemical analysis.
