Abstract:
Experiments were carried out under pressure( 0.5~2.5MPa) with three kinds of fine particles(Fcc, glass bead, sand) in a fluidized bed φ98mm and 2000mm long. Several parameters with regard to the design of pressurized fluidized bed reactors were investigated. This paper emphasizes on the effects of pressure and of three kinds of internals especially the vertical type on the incipient fluidized state. At the same time, Ergun equation is used to analyze theoretically the experimental phenomena and calculate the minimum fluidization velocity. It is noted that experimental results are in good accordance with what predicted from the Ergun equation.
